The Seussification of Romeo & Juliet |
Ocala Civic Theatre |

It’s Shakespeare, Seussified. This play, by Peter Bloedel, is a whimsical reinvention of Shakespeare’s tragic love story, complete with rhymed couplets, creative wordplay, and fantastical machines – similar to something Dr. Seuss might have come up with if he ever had his way with the script ...
Performances will be on the outdoor stage on Saturdays, March 6 and 13, at 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., and Sundays, March 7 and 14, at 3:00 p.m. Tickets will go on sale February 8.

Bill Allred Jazz Band |

The Bill Allred Jazz Band started its quest in late 1989, with the primary mission of finding, researching and playing some of the almost-forgotten arrangements of the early reading jazz bands. At the time they didn't realize what a Pandora's Box they were opening. Charts, interest and fans came from all over. Their efforts to try new sounds and combinations have resulted in some very unusual treatments of old and new musical material suitable for audiences of all ages.
