City of Ocala Recreation and Parks Department to Host After Dark in the Park Movie Series – “Finding Dory” @ Martin Luther King Recreation Complex

OCALA, Fla. (Feb. 24, 2016) – The City of Ocala Recreation and Parks Department will host the After Dark in the Park Movie Series every Friday in March starting at 7:45 p.m. at various locations across the city.
 Friday, March 3 – “The Jungle Book” (2016) at Tuscawilla Park, 500 NE Sanchez Ave.
 Friday, March 10 – “Guardians of the Galaxy” at Tuscawilla Park, 500 NE Sanchez Ave.
 Friday, March 17 – “Secret Life of Pets” at Jervey Gantt Recreation Complex, 2200 SE 36th Ave.
 Friday, March 24 – “Finding Dory” at Martin Luther King, Jr. Recreation Complex, 1510 NW Fourth St.
These events are complimentary and open to the public. Popcorn, drinks and other refreshments will be available for purchase. Those planning to attend are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets.

Farmstead Weekend is a Farmers’ Market held every Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Crones’ Cradle Conserve.    Come visit and tour a working vegetable and herb farm.  Learn about naturally and carefully grown foods which nourishes and energizes you and your family.  The farm store carries fresh picked vegetables, jams, jellies, honey, pickles and other items grown and prepared on the farm.

Crones’ Cradle Conserve, a not for profit foundation, located 6.4 miles east of Citra on CR 318 or 6 miles west of the CR315/318 caution light  near Orange Springs at 6411 NE 217th PL, Citra, FL.    Farm visits are free to the public, except during special farm events. Star Lab Saturdays @ Discovery Center

As part of the Mission Aerospace Exhibit, guests can discover our solar system and galaxy inside the Discovery Center’s brand new, inflatable planetarium. This event will take place every Saturday, March 11 through April 29, excluding Saturday, April 22. Show times will be 11 a.m., 1 p.m. or 3 p.m. Shows are approximately 30-45 minutes each.

Kickball with Park Rangers @ Wyomina Park

OCALA, Fla. (March 10, 2017) – The City of Ocala Recreation and Parks Department will host ‘Kickball with Park Rangers’ Saturday, March 25 from noon to 2 p.m. at Wyomina Park located at 1000 NW 10th St.

Youth ages 4 to 15 are encouraged to attend this event and enjoy an afternoon of kickball with City of Ocala Recreation and Parks Rangers. This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided and there will also be an opportunity to win prizes.
