Marion County Museum of History and Archaeology: Opening September 18th, 2011
Marion County’s new Museum of History and Archaeology will soon showcase the region’s 13,000 years of human habitation. The professionally designed and operated Museum is located in East Hall, at the McPherson Governmental Complex, off Fort King Street in Ocala, at 307 S.E. 26th Terrace, and will be open seven days a week. The Museum’s Grand Opening, with a ribbon cutting ceremony and opening program, will be held on Sunday, September 18th, 2011, at 3:00 p.m.
The Marion County Museum of History and Archaeology will offer exhibits and programs designed to connect visitors and local residents alike with the area’s centuries of rich history. Come learn more about Marion County’s engaging past.

The Orange Blossom Opry is a family oriented, smoke free, alcohol free, country music showcase located in the small Central Florida community of Weirsdale ( In Marion County, south of Ocala, north of Leesburg and close to Belleview, Lady Lake and The Villages.). It is located in what was originally the Weirsdale School Gymnasium.
