Located adjacent to the lush grounds and natural beauty of Silver Springs, near Ocala, Florida, Wild Waters Water Park is a fun way to spend a summer day.
The 2008 season has brought the debut of the the 40-foot-tall “Alligator Ambush” flume ride. The ride hurtles guests in two-person tubes down a 45-foot-long enclosed tunnel at nearly 30 miles per hour, then plunges the riders into the mists of a 35-foot bowl, where they circle around an enormous water-spraying alligator.
Five additional slides and speed flumes—including Osceola’s Revenge, Bunyan’s Bend, Hurricane, The Silver Bullet and the child-sized Mini Monster—thrill guests, and a 50,000-gallon wave pool adds additional excitement. The park’s littlest visitors will enjoy Cool Kids Cove, a multilevel fun zone, and the Tad Pool free-form wading pool. Specialty shops, food vendors, championship volleyball, picnic areas and more round out the park’s features.
