From its headwaters in the Green Swamp, this blackwater river meanders 141 miles before discharging into the Gulf of Mexico. The river has abundant wildlife both below and above the surface. The views on this river are postcard perfect and a must see! The Withlacoochee River is designated an Outstanding Florida Waters by the State of Florida. We're fortunate to live on the river so it's extra special to us.
