Florida Talks: Dr. David Morton

Join us Saturday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m. in Meeting Room C of the Headquarters-Ocala Public Library as we welcome author David Morton. He will be speaking about the history of film and television in Florida, with a focus on the North Florida area. Morton will also address how these productions continue to influence the state’s identity as a “third coast” in American film history. He is a lecturer in the Film and History Department at University of Central Florida. He is also a Fulbright scholar and has contributed to numerous film magazines and journals.
This program is sponsored by Florida Humanities and the Friends of the Ocala Public Library. It is free to the public. Morton will be bringing copies of his book to sign and sell.
