Last season, Pianist/ Humorist and Story teller Evans Haile brought warmth, laughter and beloved music to the Reilly Arts Center. He’s back with a new great evening of sprightly conversation and sparkling piano virtuosity to delight and charm.

You are invited to partake in a Musical Cocktail Party with such guests as George Gershwin, Claude Debussy, the fiery Cuban Ernesto Lecuona, American adventurer Louis Moreau Gottschalk, Johann Strauss, the “Waltz king”, amongst others.

In the course of the evening, you will meet these fascinating people, all of who have something to say, and do so through music. Meanwhile your irreverent host, raconteur Evans Haile will spin stories and observations that will have you laughing at how the more things change the more they remain the same.

Piano Droppings on the Rocks is an evening of glittering piano virtuosity, of romance, connections, great music, stories and laughter around the piano.

Who is Evans Haile; .. Pianist, Host, Evans Haile has achieved international acclaim in a variety of communication fields. Hosting over 2 dozen Toast of the Town specials for National Public Radio, Mr. Haile is the Executive Director of the Award Winning York Theatre Company in NYC, the General Director of Opera North SummerFest, and the Artistic Director of The Gainesville Florida Orchestra. He helmed the Historic Cape Playhouse for 15 years, and was instrumental in re-opening the famed North Shore Music Theatre.
