The HITS Ocala Winter Circuit is one of the nation’s premier hunter and jumper show series, drawing top riders, trainers, and horse enthusiasts from around the world. For more than forty years, it’s been a centerpiece of Ocala’s equestrian calendar celebrating the county’s proud title as the Horse Capital of the World®.
Over the course of 12 weeks each winter, riders of every level compete in USEF-rated shows at HITS Post Time Farm, a 450-acre facility known for its first-class arenas and welcoming atmosphere. From Grand Prix showjumping to youth and amateur divisions, it’s an exciting blend of world-class sport and community spirit.
The 2025–2026 HITS Ocala Winter Circuit runs from December 2025 through March 2026, featuring a full slate of weekly shows like the Ocala Holiday Classic, Ocala Masters, and Ocala Championship.
Each week offers new opportunities to watch riders compete in hunter, jumper and equitation divisions, with major Grand Prix events awarding prize purses up to $60,000.
Spectators are welcome throughout the season, and admission is typically free or low-cost for most events. Each week features exciting Grand Prix competition, where you can cheer on world-class riders and horses as they take on challenging courses in thrilling show-jumping events.
Concessions, shaded seating, and plenty of on-site parking make HITS Post Time Farm a great place to spend the day. Located just 16 miles northwest of Historic Downtown Ocala, the facility offers easy access to the area’s signature charm. Between events, visitors can enjoy horse-country drives, farm tours or a taste of Southern hospitality with downtown dining and shopping.
HITS stands for Horse Shows In The Sun, a name that perfectly captures the sunshine-filled atmosphere of its events. Founded in 1982, HITS has grown from its first Florida show in Gainesville to hosting top-tier equestrian competitions across the United States, including New York, Vermont, Illinois, Virginia and California.
Competitors can find entry opening and closing dates listed on the HITS Prize List and register online through the official HITS Entry Portal. Classes are available for every level, from juniors and amateurs to professionals and Olympians, making this one of the most inclusive and exciting series in the sport.
