VCB Exec Named to Visit Florida Committee
OCALA, Florida, June 18, 2013 – Loretta Shaffer, CDME, Executive Director of the Ocala/Marion County Visitor and Convention Bureau, has been appointed to the Visit Florida Cultural, Heritage, Rural and Nature (CHRN) Committee for a term effective July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014.
To enhance industry involvement, VISIT FLORIDA’s Board of Directors established the Cultural, Heritage, Rural and Nature (CHRN) Committee to maximize industry input toward fulfilling the agency’s commitment to being “industry-led.” Committee members are volunteers dedicated to putting the industry above their own interests as they interact with agency staff.
“Ocala-Marion County exemplifies the attributes and benefits of Florida that this committee will focus on for achieving our state’s marketing objectives,” stated Shaffer. “I am honored to be chosen for this opportunity and know that my community will shine brightly in this effort.”
