The Santos Mountain Bike Trails have received the prestigious designation of a bronze-level Ride Center by the International Mountain Bicycling Association, one of only six designated Ride Centers in the nation! Shift gears and take on a completely different type of adventure at Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing, just off of I-75 in Ocala. “Big Daddy” Garlits is drag-racing royalty and has been voted the number one drag racer in the second half of the 20th Century. His museum chronicles the history of the sport by displaying close to 150 racing and antique vehicles. The museum also boasts the International Drag Racing Hall of Fame, with notable inductees such as Ray Godman, Kenny Bernstein, and the trail-blazing Shirley Muldowney (“Cha Cha”), the First Lady of Drag-Racing. Don Garlits is often on site at the museum, creating an even more memorable experience for racing enthusiasts.
