Winter (Mid-December to Mid-March)
Winter is an excellent time to visit Ocala/Marion County. Temperatures are cooler and the sky tends to stay sunnier, giving you more opportunities than ever to enjoy our breathtaking Florida nature.
What to Pack
Florida winters are incredible. Usually warm enough in the daytime to swim in our crystal-clear springs that remain at 72°F year-round, but still cool and comfortable. Make sure to prepare in case temperatures change one way or the other, but usually it’s a very mild time of year.

Spring (Mid-March to Mid-June)
Spring is a great time to visit and watch as all our Florida flora and fauna reawaken. Temperatures are warm during the day, with very comfortable nights.
What to Pack
With spring comes flowers, but also pollen. If you have seasonal allergies, make sure to bring any medicine or antihistamines so that these beautiful blooms don’t slow down your vacation fun.

Summer (Mid-June to Mid-September)
Florida summers will bring both the heat and rain showers, but the two usually balance out nicely. Temperatures cool down after a rain, making mornings the time to enjoy the sunshine and evenings an excellent time to explore downtown shops and restaurants.
What to Pack
Be sure to bring clothes to keep you cool, and avoid sunburns by bringing (and applying) sunscreen, wearing hats and clothing to protect your skin, and being mindful of how long you’re in the sun. Stay dry during short summer showers with a portable umbrella.
