Brick City Adventure Park
Virtual Tour
Overview
In 1991, Marion County purchased Brick City Park from St. John Lutheran Church and School, the county's first purchase with the Pennies for Parks bond referendum. Before becoming a public park, local architect Hal Reid designed and built his architecture studio at the bottom of the large lime-rock quarry.
The park was renamed Brick City Adventure Park in 2008 when the county assumed maintenance of the park from the City of Ocala. This park offers guided adventures, unlike other parks, including access to White Cliff Cave. White Cliff cave requires a minimum of 4 people and a max of 10 per group. We can accommodate 2 groups per day at different times. Contact Parks and Recreation to get tour scheduled. Please have a date in mind that is at least a month in advance.
Other amenities include a football field with running track, playground, picnic pavilions and a lit multi-purpose field. The park is also the primary meeting spot for many recreation programs including Firewise Nature Camp and specialty camps.
Contact Marion County Parks and Recreation at 352-671-8560 to reserve the football field, utilize the ropes course or schedule a cave tour. Pavilions are available for private group functions including birthday parties and corporate outings. To rent a pavilion, please call 352-671-8560
