Overview
Tuscawilla Park Historic District is located just north of historic downtown Ocala and is home to buildings dating from 1877 through 1930 with historical significance. These buildings were built in the era when Ocala was a center for transportation and commerce in the central Florida area.
Ocala was a center for tourism, phosphate, and citrus during this time period and the Tuscawilla Park Historic District was where many of the area's prominent businessmen and leaders lived.
Architecture includes Second Empire, Queen Anne, Colonial Revival, Gothic Revival, Spanish Revival, Georgian Revival, Carpenter Gothic, and Bungalow styles. For detailed history of the district, click here.
