Overview
Following community support and a search for park property since the mid 1990's, in September 2004, Wrigley Fields was donated to Marion County by Misdee Wrigley-Miller to provide active recreation to the citizens of Marion County. The park was opened to the public in August 2007.
To celebrate the one year anniversary of the park's opening, Oak-ala, a painted horse purchased in honor of Misdee Wrigley-Miller's generous donation of Wrigley Fields was. The Board of County Commissioners purchased Oak-ala, formerly located at the Headquarters Library, from the Marion Cultural Alliance.
Additionally, a memorial plaque donated by the North Central Park Organization was unveiled, commemorating the partnership between the Commission and Misdee Wrigley-Miller in making the park a reality.

The park is located on 72 acres in a rural area in north central Marion County located at the northeast corner of US Hwy 301 and CR 316. The rolling upland pasture is a former hay field with areas of hardwoods.
