Overview
Join us on May 22 for a special evening at the Fort as we explore an important chapter of Florida’s past and the people who helped shape it.
This program invites guests to reflect on the history of slavery in Spanish and early U.S. Florida, along with its influence on Seminole–U.S. relations during a formative period in our nation’s story.
The evening will also feature local artist Charles Eady, who will unveil his newest work portraying Abraham- an interpreter and influential figure connected to the Seminole Wars.
