DESCRIPTION
A legend in his own time, Morgan Bonaparte Mizell was known as a fun-loving Florida cow hunter who could "outride, out rope, outshoot, and outdrink" any cowman in the state back in the late 1800s when there were no fences to contain the thousands of cattle that roamed the scrub lands. We explore the life and legend of this tall, lanky character known as "Bone" through stories that have been handed down.
After more than 40 years as a newspaper reporter for the Tampa Tribune, Walt Belcher is sharing stories about the colorful people and places that make Florida's history fascinating.
Summer Speaker Series is located near the Silver River Museum within a classroom setting and is ADA accessible.
