Overview
The KP Hole® provides boating, tubing, kayaking, scuba diving, swimming and paddle boarding access to the crystal clear Rainbow River. The glass-like surface of the river makes it all the better to see more clearly the wonderful array of fish and other underwater marvels. The entire river is a Natural Landmark, Aquatic Preserve and an Outstanding Florida Waterway, which is why disposable containers and alcohol are prohibited on the river. The river offers a constant temperature of around 72 degrees.
For a leisurely adventure, tube the “Rainbow River Classic – the tuber ride of generations.” Rentals, with return shuttle service from Blue Run of Dunnellon Park, are available .April 1 - September 30. The average float takes approximately four hours. Tub rentals are available 8am - 12:45 pm or until park reaches capacity. Children must be at least three years old to tub.
Pets are not permitted in the park. However, if you are launching your own boat or renting one of our canoes or kayaks, you can walk you pet down to the boat ramp and load your pet into the boat.
